Leaf Collection - Begins October 21, 2024

Leaf pickup will be done with a leaf vac and taken to a disposal site.

THE FOLLOWING RULES MUST BE FOLLOWED OR LEAVES WILL NOT BE PICKED UP.

  • Leaves must be raked onto the terrace area and not in the street and must be piled or windrowed in the terrace area.
  • Leaves must be a minimum of five (5) feet away from any fire hydrant, mailbox, electrical boxes or light pole.
  • Leaf piles containing brush, garden or yard waste will not be picked up.
  • Leaf piles with vehicles parked in front of them will be left.

Please note: It may take several days to finish picking up all the leaves, depending on the schedule of the Public Works staff.

Leaf Collection Route
The Village of Oregon Public Works Department typically starts on the northeast side (by high school area) and works counterclockwise to the west side of the railroad tracks, then to the southern border and proceeds north to the downtown area.  This rotation is continued until all of the leaves are collected or the snow covers them (whichever comes first).  Maps showing the progress of the leaf collection program can be found below.

There are no scheduled days for pick-up.  The Public Works Department will continue to move throughout the Village until the weather no longer allows.  You may view the most recent collection schedules below.
