Q:  I received a municipal service bill from the Village of Oregon and it is not on a postcard.  Is the bill legit?

A:  The Village of Oregon has introduced a new layout for your municipal service bill.  The new bill was mailed on Friday, September 8, 2023.  It will come in a windowed envelope and be printed on a 8 1/2 x 11 piece of paper.  See the new look here!

 

Q:  Can I view a sample of the new bill and layout?

A:  Yes!  You can view the new bill here!

 

Q:  If I had an Automatic Clearing House (ACH) transaction set-up through the Village of Oregon with the old (postcard) bill, will I have to change it?

A:  No, your ACH transaction will continue as it did with your postcard.  However, if you would like to change the bank your payment is deducted from you can do so at anytime by filling out the Authorization Agreement for Preauthorized Payments.

 

Q:  How do I know if I am set-up for an ACH transaction through the Village of Oregon?

A:  On the top portion of your bill it will say "Auto Pay Date xx/xx/xx".  This means you have an ACH transaction set-up with the Village of Oregon and it will come out on the bill due date.

 

Q:  What is Payment Service Network (PSN)?

A:  PSN is a third-party payment processing vendor that the Village of Oregon partners with.  You can pay your bill through them online or by phone.  Fees apply.  If you were using PSN during the postcard layout your payment transaction method has not changed. 

 

Q:  I don't want to write a check and mail in my payment.  How can I pay my bill?

A:  The Village of Oregon has numerous options to pay your bill.  Please visit our Payment Information page.

 

Q:  Where is the payment drop box located at the new Village Hall - 101 Alpine Parkway?

A:  The secure silver drop box is located at the north end of our building in the first drive up lane.  You do not need to exit your vehicle.

 

Q:  How can I view the current rates?

A:  Please visit our Water & Sewer Rate Information Page.

 

Q:  How does the Village of Oregon set its water rates?

A:  Water rates are set by the Public Service Commission through rate cases in which the utility requests pricing to cover its cost of providing the services.  The Village is currently undergoing a rate case study.  The last study conducted was in 2011. 

 

Q:  Are there assistance programs to help me with my utility bills?

A:  The Public Service Commission also provides helpful resources for Wisconsin residents to pay for basic utilities.  They also provide assistance resources for telecommunications and internet services.

 

Q:  Why is my bill higher than usual?

Q:  How do I get another copy of my bill?
