Water & Sewer Rate Information

New Water Rates effective October 31, 2023

The Village last completed a simplified rate case or inflationary increase 12 years ago in 2011. It has been 19 years since the Village completed a full rate case in 2004. Considering the growth of the community over this time, along with the inflation that occurs over a nearly twenty-year period, a full rate case is long overdue. Over the past decade, the utility has kept its rates steady in part by postponing capital projects while simultaneously having a highly effective and efficient staff maintaining the existing water system. Due to the length of time that has passed, PSC rules no longer allow the Village to submit a simplified rate case. Rates can only be adjusted through a full rate case.
