Animal Licenses
Animal Licenses are issued on a calendar year basis. A license is required for dogs and cats over 5 months of age (see Wis. Stats. 174.05 and 174.42)
Proof of rabies vaccination from your veterinarian is required prior to issuance of a license (see Wis. Stats. 95.21) Proof of vaccination must state the manufacturer name, serial number of the vaccine and expiration date of the vaccination.
The following information is required to obtain a pet license:
Staff members at the Oregon Village Hall will not be able to call your veterinarian for this information.

For Licenses issued after March 31, 2009 - a $5.00 late fee will be assessed.
Payment Options:
1.
Pay at the Village Hall during
normal operating hours.
(Monday thru Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm)
2. Drop your check off along with an application and requested information in the drop box located in the Village Hall Parking lot (not the blue flag drop box). Be sure to enclose a self addressed, stamped envelope or the license will not be mailed to you.
3. Mail your check along with an application and requested information to the Village Hall (117 Spring Street). Be sure to enclose a self addressed, stamped envelope or the license will not be mailed to you.

Statute 174.042 (4) states that any owner of a dog that negligently or otherwise
permits a dog to run at large or be untagged, shall forfeit not less than $25.00
for the first offense and not less than $200.00 for subsequent offenses. In
addition, most dog parks require dog licenses to use the park facilities.
